
School lunch inspiration: bento boxes

After a month back at school are you running out of packed lunch inspiration? Well, you’re in luck. Our friends at Tastemade have some fantastic ideas to make lunchtime fun and tasty every day..
Cheese & Pickle Pinwheel
Makes: 8-10 pinwheels
Cook Time: No cooking needed for this one!
Total Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 Ocado fajita wrap
- 1 heaped tablespoon of (M&S Ploughmans) chutney
- 50g M&S Mild Cheddar cheese, grated
Instructions
Spread chutney evenly over the wrap and top with the grated cheese. Roll up and slice into even pieces.
Top tip: wrap in cling film and place in the fridge for at least an hour so it’s easier to slice.
White Chocolate Popcorn
Makes: 1 serving (for 1 bento box)
Cook time: 1 minute
Total time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 5g cooked popcorn (readymade)
- 10-15g white chocolate chips/squares
- Sprinkles
Instructions:
- Pop the chocolate into a small heatproof bowl and place in the microwave for 30 seconds.
- Remove and stir, if it needs more time to melt, pop back into the microwave for 15-second bursts.
- Place the popcorn into a cupcake case and drizzle the melted white chocolate over it and then sprinkle with the sprinkles.
Hummus and Crinkle Cut Veggie Sticks
Makes: 1 serving (for 1 bento box)
Cook time: No cooking for this one!
Total time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 55g Ocado Houmous (any flavour)
- 3 sticks red pepper
- 3 sticks yellow pepper
- 3 sticks green pepper
- 3 sticks carrot
- 3 sticks cucumber
Instructions:
Use the crinkle cutter to cut batons of each vegetable and serve with the houmous.
