This hearty, wholesome porridge recipe provides plenty of fuel for festive play. And you can feed their imaginations by laying out lots of healthy toppings!

Ingredients
Snowman and Christmas tree porridge
- 40g porridge oats
- 275ml milk
- 1 large banana, sliced
- 1 blueberry
- 1 strawberry
- 1 chocolate writing icing pen
- 1 kiwi, cut into slices
- 7 pomegranate seeds
- 1 dried apricot
Reindeer porridge
- 40g porridge oats
- 275ml milk
- 2 blueberries
- 3 strawberries
Instructions
Reindeer porridge:
- Measure the oats and milk into a small saucepan. Stir over the heat and simmer for 5 minutes until the oats are cooked and the porridge has thickened. Spoon into a bowl.
- To decorate, make a nose and ears using the strawberries, add the blueberries for eyes and slice the remaining strawberry into strips to make the antlers.
Snowman and Christmas tree porridge:
- Measure the oats and milk into a small saucepan. Stir over the heat and simmer for 5 minutes until the oats are cooked and the porridge has thickened. Spoon into a bowl.
- To decorate, make the snowman’s body using 3 slices of banana. Slice half a strawberry to make the hat. Slice the blueberry in half and place on top of the hat to make the bobble. Use the chocolate icing pen to make the eyes and buttons. Make a small nose out of the apricot.
- To make the Christmas tree, cut the kiwi slices into triangles and arrange on top of the porridge. Use the remaining blueberry half for the tree base and decorate the tree with baubles using pomegranate seeds.
