Proudly launching our Progress vans
Introducing our new dedicated fleet of Progress vans, proudly signifying our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community and our stand on representation for all
Our new vans are based on the Progress Flag’s design, which is an updated version of the widely recognised LGBTQ+ Rainbow flag. The Rainbow Flag is used as the symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities. The flag adds five coloured chevrons: black and brown stripe representing marginalised LGBT communities of colour, along with the colours pink, light blue and white, which are used on the Transgender Pride Flag. The chevrons also represent those living with HIV/AIDS, people who have passed from the virus, and the overall stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.
We’ve launched these to show support and solidarity for the Progress movement. Our awesome art director, Jay said; “the Progress vans are a testament to the importance of representation, especially for the most marginalised communities. As a permanent fixture within the Ocado delivery fleet, these vans signify our allyship, commitment, and solidarity to the LGBTQ+ community.”
The launch of these Progress vans is part of our ongoing commitment to both represent and support all of our colleagues and customers. To find out more about our efforts towards inclusion & diversity, read this article.
