About the grape: the fiano grape is grown mainly in Southern Italy and Sicily and has been cultivated since Roman times. The grape itself is very small so yields very little juice. This has traditionally made it quite unprofitable to harvest but recent improvements in technology, along with the popularity of pinot grigio, has seen fiano make a welcome comeback. Continue reading
