WHOOP WHOOPS FOR BANANA SCOOPS

Summer is definitely ice cream season, so we’re very excited to welcome Banana Scoops to Ocado. Banana Scoops are the UK’s first vegan dairy-free banana-based ice cream brand. Their three flavours (banilla, chocolate and raspberry) are sweetened with dates and each portion is just 156 calories – safe to say we’re pretty big fans. 

We’ve picked out two of our favourite recipes to celebrate. Both are easy to make and full of fruity flavour, the only hard bit is choosing which one to choose first.

Banana Scoops Smoothie BowlAn easy smoothie bowl to brighten up your morning using up ingredients in your fridge or cupboard.

Add ingredients here.

• 3 scoops of your favourite Banana Scoops ice cream • 2 tbsp of plant-based milk • 1 handful strawberries, hulled • 1/2 banana, sliced • 1 tbsp peanut butter • handful chopped hazelnuts (optional) • 1 tsp cacao nibs (optional) • 1 tbsp melted white chocolate (optional)

  1. Blend the 2 scoops of your chosen Banana Scoops ice cream with the plant-based milk and strawberries.
  2. Serve in a bowl and top with the third scoop of ice cream, fresh bananas, hazelnuts and cacao nibs. You can use any fruit, nuts or seeds that you have in your fridge and cupboard.
  3. Drizzle with white chocolate.
  4. Serve immediately before the ice cream melts.

Banana Scoops Chocolate Sundae – A rich and delicious dessert to indulge in without the added calories or refined sugar.

Add ingredients here.

• 2 scoops of your favourite Banana Scoops (n)ice cream (we used Chocolate) • 1.5 tbsp peanut butter • Handful chocolate pieces or chips • 1 tbsp melted white chocolate 

  1. Take your Banana Scoops ice cream out of the freezer for 10 mins to let it soften.
  2. Mix the ice cream with the peanut butter and pour into a glass or bowl. We opted for a fancy martini glass.
  3. Add the chocolate chips.
  4. Drizzle white chocolate on top.
  5. Serve immediately before the ice cream melts.
