“A very easy bread – just don’t try and make a sandwich with it like my dad did. It’s perfect for tearing off chunks with soup.” – Lisa Faulkner

Ingredients
- 150g self-raising wholemeal flour
- 150g plain flour
- 300g natural yogurt
- 1 tsp bicarb of soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 30g strong cheddar
- 2 sprigs rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C/170°C fan/Gas 5.
- Mix the flours, bicarbonate of soda and salt together. Stir in the yogurt and knead to a dough. Grate in the cheese leaving a little for the top, knead again and form into a ball.
- Sprinkle a little flour on a baking sheet and place a few sprigs of rosemary on. Place the bread on top and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Cut a deep cross in the dough, place another sprig of rosemary on top and bake for 22-30 mins.
