Ocadolife exclusive: blogging with Niamh Shields

Niamh_OL

Our latest Ocadolife magazine featured an interview with award-winning travel and food blogger Niamh Shields, of Eat Like a Girl fame. Here’s a sneak peak straight from the issue, plus a couple of extra questions just for this blog…

What’s your go-to dish when you’re absolutely ravenous?

Pasta! Often with a simple tomato sauce (made with best quality tomatoes or a good Italian passata). Or pasta e patate, a wonderful southern Italian soupy pasta with potato. It sounds strange but it tastes divine.

Who are the people who inspire you?

I am very inspired by the food of my travels and the cooks and producers that I meet. Also restaurants that I enjoy inspire me. I love people that create good things and do it with passion.

What makes a great Instagram?

For the shot itself, I like colour and texture. Learning to work with light is very important. The picture should tell a story or be enticing in someway, like something you really want to eat, a place you want to be, or something that transports you or makes you think.

Any budding food bloggers out there? We’d love to hear about your favourite ways to share your passion with the world. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out our latest of Ocadolife magazine online and find our full interview with Niamh.

  1. Thanks for the suggestions you discuss through this web site. In addition, lots of young women which become pregnant don’t even try and get medical health insurance because they dread they won’t qualify. Although a lot of states at this point require insurers present coverage no matter the pre-existing conditions. Prices on these guaranteed programs are usually higher, but when considering the high cost of medical care it may be any safer strategy to use to protect your own financial potential.
