This season’s big interior trend: Decorate with maps

Decorate with maps At the end of a holiday we all want to remember our favourite moments. As well as photos, why not go a step further and use these ideas to decorate with maps, whether vintage, wall-sized or illustrative. Not only will they add a graphic edge to your interior design, they will also evoke happy memories of your favourite destinations.

• Group together framed sections of maps to create one striking artwork. You can also hang a collection of maps to make up the shape of an interestingly shaped country such as Italy.
• For a striking and inexpensive entrance, paste sheets of vintage map wrapping paper above a dado rail to create a bold collage effect.
• Create a display of globes of different sizes and colours for a stylish focal point and inspiration for your next trip.
• A charming wallpaper design is a creative way to decorate a chest of drawers that needs a new lease of life.
