Meat Free Monday – where to start?

Cutting back on the amount of meat you eat can open up a whole load of new, tasty, healthy options – and is great for the planet too.

The Meat Free Monday campaign, which we’ve proudly supported for years, is based on the idea that giving up meat for just one day a week can make a real difference. I’d recommend you’d give it a try – even if you’re a hardcore carnivore I think you’ll be surprised by just how well you can eat without meat.

Bean and Pesto

So I’ve picked five easy, delicious starters to kick you off.

Bean and Pesto Salad
Just four steps to a crunchy, flavoursome salad.

Falafel with Tstatsiki
Filling, fresh-tasting, and also great for lunch.

Carrot, Lentil and Sesame Bites
Eastern-inspired and great with pre-dinner drinks.

Beetroot and Caraway Soup
Packed with flavour and colour.

Celeriac and Parsnip Rosti with Cumberland Sauce
Serve with peppery salad leaves, or with your main course.
