Welcome to the new-look Ocado website! You may have read my post about the first roll-out of our new design (see ‘A new webshop‘) in November. Well, we spent the next few weeks fine-tuning, following loads of great feedback from the first set of customers to use the new website. Thank you to everyone who was involved and gave us feedback – we read every single email, tweet and post about the site as we developed it. And, excitingly, we rolled it out to everyone else earlier this week.
So, what’s new? Well, quite a lot. Have a look in detail “here“. We changed the look and feel of the product navigation, with a scroll-over bar at the top of the Shop and a list of options on the right hand side. The trolley now sits at the top of the page, and ‘shelf view’ means you can look at products as if they were on a supermarket shelf, so it’s much quicker to spot the item you’re after and for savvy bargain-hunters to compare value. You can also opt to sort products by price, and there’s a handy list of icons to simplify the information shown.
And frankly, that’s just for starters! Have a play around with the website to see all the adjustments and tweaks – we’re confident that you’ll love it even more than the old one. Yes, change can be off-putting, but we think with all the new features you’ll find shopping with us easier than ever.
